SteelFiber Shafts Make Run at FedEx Cup Title
The No. 1 composite irons shafts on the PGA Tour in 2010 and 2011 are in the hunt for the 2012 FedEx Cup title at this week's TOUR Championship by Coca-Cola. Aerotech Golf announces that its SteelFiber iron shafts are among the Top Five ranked players vying for the win at the TOUR Championship and the FedEx Cup.

SteelFiber is well-known for delivering the power of graphite and the stability of steel, and the innovative composite shafts have scored 17 Top 10 finishes this year on the PGA TOUR, as well as wins at the Farmers Insurance Open and The Players Championship.

"Last year, two of the Top Eight players in the final FedExCup standings played SteelFiber shafts and we delivered two Top Three finishes in the PGA TOUR PlayOffs so we're very excited to be in the hunt again this year for both the TOUR Championship and the FedEx Cup. SteelFiber shafts have proven themselves on professional tours around the world to provide unique performance advantages unlike any other shafts on the market today," said Aerotech Golf President Chris Hilleary.

SteelFiber shafts deliver extreme performance through innovative composite engineering that combines a high-modulus graphite core with 59 miles of steel fiber lacing the shaft surface. While the shaft's graphite core provides vibration dampening, increased clubhead speed and maximum distance, the steel fibers produce optimum weighting for a solid feel at impact and add stability and control for pinpoint accuracy. Originally developed for irons the SteelFiber technology now enhances the performance of hybrids, fairway woods and drivers.
