SteelFiber Flies High, Takes Second- and Third at Boeing Classic
Aerotech Golf continues to fly high on the PGA and Champions Tours as its SteelFiber i110 shafts claimed second- and third-place in the Boeing Classic, held at TPC Snoqualmie Ridge on the Champions Tour. The two top finishes this weekend marked the 10th and 11th Top 10 finishes for SteelFiber shafts on the Champions Tour, a success story which mirrors that of the PGA TOUR where SteelFiber shafts are tied for second and fourth in Top 10 finishes.

Playing SteelFiber i110 shafts in his irons, the Boeing Classic runner-up shot 65-69-70 and was No. 1 in Greens-in-Regulation with 81.48%. It was his seventh Top 10 of the year. The third-place finisher also played SteelFiber i110 shafts in his irons and earned his seventh Top Finish of the year on the Champions Tour.

"We're very excited with the success that Champions Tour players are having with SteelFiber shafts," says Aerotech Golf President Chris Hilleary. "The innovative composite technology of SteelFiber is unique on the pro tours, and is specifically designed to provide greater vibration dampening and reduce player fatigue, while at the same time delivering stability and increased distance. Composite technology brings game-changing innovation and the performance benefits are helping all players, professional and amateur alike."

On the PGA TOUR, SteelFiber shafts ended the regular season as No. 2 and No. 3 in the FedEx Cup Standings; and are currently No. 3 and No. 4 on the PGA Money List; Nos. 6 and 7 in official world rankings; and tied for second and fourth in Top 10 finishes. Also this year, SteelFiber has five wins on the PGA Tour and one win on the Champions Tour.
