NIPPON SHAFT PLAYER IS FIRST AMERICAN TO WIN EUROPEAN TOUR ROOKIE-OF-THE-YEAR HONORS
Another Nippon Shaft player has made news for his outstanding play in 2013, as the 24-year-old out of Oklahoma State recently became the first American to win Rookie-of-the-Year honors on the European Tour.

The 2010 U.S. Amateur champion used Nippon Shaft N.S. PRO MODUS³ Tour 120 steel shafts with a TX flex in his irons during his worldwide travels to European Tour-sanctioned events.  After starting the year on the developmental European Challenge Tour, he earned full European Tour status with his victory at the Madeira Islands Open in Portugal, and finished 14th in the Race to Dubai.

“Nippon Shaft would like to congratulate the first American player ever to be named Rookie-of-the-Year on the European PGA Tour,” said Hiro Fukuda, sales and marketing for Nippon Shaft.  “Nippon Shaft is proud that the European Tour’s top rookie utilized the N.S. PRO MODUS³ Tour 120 TX flex shafts to take maximum advantage of his talent and hard work.”

The European Rookie-of-the-Year announcement comes on the heels of another Nippon Shaft player winning both the U.S. FedEx Cup Playoffs and the Race to Dubai.

Nippon Shaft has been developing shafts specifically for PGA professional and high-level amateur players since 2010.
