SteelFiber Shafts Score Top 10s at Allianz Championship
The No. 1 graphite iron shafts on the PGA and Champions Tours, SteelFiber shafts by Aerotech Golf chalked up two more Top 10 finishes at the Allianz Championship on the Champions Tour. SteelFiber i110 shafts claimed a solo third- and ninth-place.

Playing SteelFiber i110 shafts in his irons, the third-place player finished just one stroke off the lead, while he tied for first in number of birdies and fourth in greens-in-regulation (85.19%). The event was his first tournament of the season, and he brought home $115,200. Also playing in his first tournament of 2014, the ninth-place finisher opened the season in strong fashion, landing Top 10 money, with SteelFiber i110 shafts in his irons as well.

“SteelFiber shafts are growing in popularity every day on the PGA and Champions Tours, and this weekend’s multiple Top 10 finish at the Allianz was very exciting,” says Aerotech Golf President Chris Hilleary. “The SteelFiber i110 shafts are an excellent option for players who want iron shafts that are slightly lighter than typical steel shafts so they can increase their yardage, while still maintaining a low penetrating ball flight and not change the overall feel that they have had playing steel steel shafts.”

In 2013, players with SteelFiber shafts ranked No. 2 and No. 3 in the FedEx Cup Season Points at the end of the regular season. SteelFiber shafts were also No. 6 and No. 12 in FedEx Cup Playoff Points; and ended 2013 overall as No. 3 and No. 5 on the PGA Money List; Nos. 8 and 9 in official world rankings; and tied for first and fourth in Top 10 finishes. In 2013, players with SteelFiber shafts in their irons won five events on the PGA TOUR and two events on the Champions Tour.
