SteelFiber Shafts Draw Top 10 at Deutsche Bank
Aerotech Golf announces that its SteelFiber iron shafts grabbed sixth-place at the Deutsche Bank Championship this week on the PGA TOUR. The top money position is the 17th Top 10 finish for Aerotech shafts on the PGA TOUR in 2012, and the third Top 10 in the past four weeks.

The three-time PGA TOUR winner played SteelFiber shafts — the No. 1 composite irons shafts on the PGA Tour in 2010 and 2011 — in his Bridgestone irons. His sixth-place finish at the Deutsche Bank Championship also dialed him in for fourth-place in the FedExCup standings.

"The on-going success for SteelFiber shafts on the PGA TOUR is very exciting. SteelFiber shafts have proven themselves on professional tours around the world to provide unique performance advantages on the PGA TOUR. SteelFiber's composite technology gives players greater vibration dampening and reduces player fatigue similar to graphite shafts, while also providing the same stability as steel shafts," said Aerotech Golf President Chris Hilleary.

SteelFiber shafts provide the power of graphite and the stability of steel. The shafts deliver extreme performance through innovative composite engineering that combines a high-modulus graphite core with 59 miles of steel fiber lacing the shaft surface. While the shaft's graphite core provides vibration dampening, increased clubhead speed and maximum distance, the steel fibers produce optimum weighting for a solid feel at impact and add stability and control for pinpoint accuracy. Originally developed for irons the SteelFiber technology now enhances the performance of hybrids, fairway woods and drivers.

SteelFiber shafts received industry-wide acclaim last year with two Top Three finishes in the PGA TOUR PlayOffs and with two of the Top Eight players in the final FedExCup standings.
