SteelFiber Shafts Capture Second-Place at Colonial
Aerotech Golf announces that its SteelFiber composite iron shafts captured second-place honors at this weekend’s Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial in Fort Worth, Texas. In addition, SteelFiber shafts tied for seventh place, gaining a total of two Top 10 money positions for the Colonial.

Playing SteelFiber i95 shafts in his irons, the Crowne Plaza Invitational’s runner-up got off to a fast start on Thursday, hitting 83.33 percent greens in regulation in the first round, and he kept the pressure on for the rest of the tournament. He finished with a strong 13-under par 267 for his fifth Top 10 finish of the 2013 PGA TOUR season. He is currently ranked third in FedExCup Points and No. 9 in the world golf rankings.

“The Texas Swing is always a fun part of the PGA TOUR and Sunday’s finale at Colonial was very exciting. SteelFiber shafts delivered excellent performance throughout the tournament and the strong second-place finish gives another great demonstration of the playing benefits of composite iron shaft technology,” says Aerotech Golf President Chris Hilleary. “SteelFiber shafts provide the power of graphite and the stability of steel and we’re proud to see more players on the PGA TOUR switching to this game-changing innovation.”

SteelFiber shafts are No. 2 and No. 3 in the FedEx Cup Standings; No. 2 and No. 3 in the 2013 PGA TOUR Money List; No. 5 and 9 in official world rankings; and tied for first for Top 10 finishes on the PGA TOUR.
