SteelFiber Drives Away with Top 10 at BMW Championship
The No. 1 composite iron shaft on the PGA TOUR, SteelFiber shafts continued to deliver the power of graphite and the stability of steel in the PGA TOUR Playoffs. SteelFiber i95 shafts by Aerotech Golf earned an eighth-place tie at this week’s BMW Championship, making the event the second consecutive PGA Playoff of 2013 that SteelFiber shafts have received one or more Top 10s.

“The growing success of SteelFiber shafts on both the PGA and Champions Tours has been a great testament to the exceptional performance benefits gained when playing composite shafts in your irons,” said Aerotech Golf President Chris Hilleary. “SteelFiber’s composite technology gives players greater vibration dampening, reduces their fatigue, and provides the stability they have historically played with with steel shafts. I don’t think there’s any doubt today that SteelFiber shaft technology is game-changing innovation.”

Currently on the PGA TOUR, SteelFiber shafts are No. 2 and No. 3 in the FedEx Cup Season Points; No. 5 and No. 10 in FedEx Cup Playoff Points; No. 2 and No. 4 on the PGA Money List; No. 7 and No. 8 in official world rankings; and tied for No. 1 and No. 3 in Top 10 finishes. Also this year, SteelFiber has five wins on the PGA Tour and one win on the Champions Tour.

SteelFiber shafts provide superior performance through innovative composite engineering that combines a high-modulus graphite core with 59 miles of steel fiber lacing the shaft surface. While the shaft’s graphite core provides vibration dampening, increased clubhead speed and maximum distance, the steel fibers produce optimum weighting for a solid feel at impact and add stability and control for pinpoint accuracy.
