N.S. PRO MODUS3 CONTENDS AT THE MASTERS - All Nippon Shaft Players Made Cut; Four of Five Finish Top 20

All five Masters contestants who used Nippon Shaft steel shafts in their irons at the 2013 tournament made the cut, with two finishing in the top 10 and four among the top 20.

Finishing in a tie for fourth place was the young Australian, who took a share of the lead on Thursday after shooting a 6-under 66 and hovered around the top of the leaderboard all weekend, finishing at 5-under par on rounds of 66-73-72-72. The 2009 PGA TOUR Rookie of the Year utilized the N.S. PRO MODUS³ Tour 130 S flex steel shafts in his irons.

Finishing T-8 was the Spanish star and Ryder Cup hero, who use the N.S. PRO MODUS³ Tour 130 X flex steel shafts in his irons.  He, too, was co-leader after round one, opening with a 66.  He finished at 3-under par 285, shooting 66-76-73-70 on the week.

Tied for 18th was the 37-year-old Swede who used the N.S. PRO MODUS³ Tour 120 X flex steel shafts in his irons to shoot 75-71-73-69—288, an even par total.

Tied for 20th was the 37-year-old Richmond, Ind. native who used the N.S. MODUS³ PROTO ST X flex steel shafts in his irons to record a 1-over total on rounds of 71-74-70-74—289.

Former Masters champion and World Golf Hall of Fame member used the N.S. PRO MODUS³ Tour 120 TX flex steel shafts in his irons.  He shot 72-74-74-72—292, 4-over par for the week.

The N.S. PRO MODUS³ Tour 130 went on sale to the public on Feb. 1 after Nippon Shaft experts spent years traveling with the PGA TOUR getting player feedback and input during the shaft’s development phase.  The other shafts mentioned above also were developed during this process.
