Aerotech Golf Wins Sanderson Farms Championship

SteelFiber shafts, designed and manufactured by Aerotech Golf, captured the victory at the Sanderson Farms Championship on the PGA Tour this weekend. In addition to the PGA Tour win, SteelFiber shafts collected three Top 10s at the Charles Schwab Cup Championship on the Champions Tour and two more Top 10s at the Toto Japan Classic on the LPGA Tour.

The Sanderson Farm champion shot a 5-under 67 on Monday to surge to the top of the leaderboard, earning $738,000 and 300 FedExCup points. Throughout the rain-soaked event, the champ shot an 18-under par (69-66-68-67) in his first PGA Tour victory. Meanwhile at the Charles Schwab Cup Championship, SteelFiber i110 shafts earned T4 and T9 finishes and SteelFiber hybrid scored a T8. At the Toto Japan Classic, SteelFiber i80 shafts delivered solo fourth-place and the SteelFiber j108 took fifth.

“We congratulate the Sanderson Farms champion on his first-ever PGA Tour victory. It’s a great achievement, especially considering he only received his PGA Tour Card last month,” says Chris Hilleary, president of Aerotech Golf. “The champ plays the SteelFiber i110 graphite shafts in his irons, which are a little lighter weight than typical steel shafts. The i110s deliver a low penetrating ball flight and increase distance, while at the same time reducing vibrations and fatigue which often impacts player performance.”
